B.E. Smith initially came to Engage Mobile to help them develop an overall mobile strategy. Leadership at B.E. Smith knew they were missing out on opportunities related to mobile but were not sure what the mobile opportunities really were or how to tackle them. After sessions with the leaders of B.E. Smith, Engage Mobile developed a mobile road map that allowed the executive team to evaluate the different opportunities.
Once B.E. Smith had the mobile road map, they decided to work with Engage Mobile to develop a mobile application for their sales force that would provide instant visibility of all placements within a specific geographic area, company and time-frame. Engage Mobile rolled out the first version of the application to the BE Smith sales force within 60 days of starting the project, with several enhancements and updated versions thereafter.
Before the mobile application, the sales team relied on support staff to generate sales reports of historic data before meeting with a prospective client. Today, the app puts historic sales information in the hands of the sales team in real-time and eliminates the efforts needed from support staff, ultimately helping the sales force close more deals.
