18 Dec Amazing Mobile Research – Smartphone Use Among Trainees and Practicing Clinicians at Children’s Hospital
From our friends at Children’s Mercy Hospital including Dr. Jason Newland, Joshua Herigon, MPH and Dr. Russell McCulloh comes some of the best research we have seen regarding the use of mobile technology by clinicians at children’s hospitals. Engage Mobile does a lot of work in the health space and we are always looking for information regarding the use of technology by doctors – and this is good stuff.
Some of the highlights include:
- Product preference: iPhone represents over 50%, followed by Android at just over 20% – what is surprising is that Blackberry still represents almost 20%
- Over 80% of clinicians and trainees agree that smartphones are becoming a vital tool for physicians
- The top 4 uses of smartphones by clinicians and trainees are drug reference, clinical calculations, clinical reference and quick review
