14 Apr We Spotted an Apple Watch at Snow and Company in Kansas City (it looks bigger than in the pictures :)
Engage Mobile has several things going on with the Apple Watch (and Android Wear) so we are excited to get our hands on our first ones at the end of April. We are working on a few projects with clients using the new technology and are excited to see how the wearables market, Apple Watch, Android Wear will play out.
We were shocked to see the Apple Watch 2 weeks before the formal launch in use at Snow and Company (http://www.snowandcompany.com/) – the artful frozen cocktail establishment – right here in our hometown of Kansas City. When we first saw the device we thought it was a new Apple Watch. Upon closer inspection we could see a few issues – see below for the differences between the knock-off device and the actual device in an official Apple, Inc. photo.
In all seriousness though – we are excited to see how the next few years play out with wearable technology – specifically with Android Wear and the Apple Watch.
As reported a few weeks ago, Engage Mobile is working to develop several Apple Watch apps including a Contextual Indoor Navigation App for Apple Watch using beacons – http://www.engagemobile.com/engage-mobile-preparing-indoor-navigation-app-for-apple-watch-using-beacons/.
Stay tuned later this month when we do some real-world testing with an actual Apple Watch.
